Anandam’s holistic therapy brings together two specialist online services under one integrative approach: Women’s Metabolic & Hormonal Health with Katharina Austermann, PhD (Nutrition and Food Science, University of Bonn, 2023), and Yoga Therapy with Yogi Sandeep Atri, E-RYT 500. All sessions are delivered 1:1 via Zoom – available worldwide to clients in Germany, UK, USA, Australia, and globally. The approach is rooted in the shared understanding of both practitioners: lasting wellbeing requires addressing root causes, not just symptoms. Whether you are navigating hormonal imbalance, metabolic health, chronic pain, burnout, or anxiety – this is structured, evidence-informed, personalized support.
In the philosophies of Yoga and Ayurveda, the health of the body, mind, and spirit is seen as interconnected and inseparable. Our holistic therapy programs bridge ancient wisdom with modern research – combining evidence-based nutritional science with therapeutic yoga to restore harmony on all levels. This is not generic wellness. This is specialist, one-to-one support tailored to your specific situation.

Practitioner: Katharina Austermann, PhD in Nutrition and Food Science
I work with women experiencing hormonal and metabolic challenges, including PCOS, menopause, weight regulation difficulties, fatigue, and stress-related imbalances. My approach addresses the complex interaction between metabolism, hormones, and stress physiology, allowing for a more comprehensive and individualized process. Clients typically experience improved energy, greater stability in weight and appetite, and a more balanced hormonal state. What differentiates this work is the integration of evidence-based nutrition with targeted strategies for stress regulation and long-term metabolic health.
Practitioner: Yogi Sandeep Atri, E-RYT 500
I support people who are dealing with pain, tension, stress, or feeling overwhelmed in their body. Using a personalized yoga therapy approach, we work with movement, breath, and relaxation to help the body recover and the nervous system settle. Clients often notice less pain, more ease in movement, and a deeper sense of calm. The focus is always on what works for you, rather than following a general yoga class structure.

In the philosophies of Yoga and Ayurveda, the health of the body, mind, and spirit is seen as interconnected and inseparable. True health is achieved not by merely addressing symptoms but by uncovering and healing the root causes of imbalance. This contrasts with the symptom-focused approach often found in modern medicine.
Our work extends these principles by combining modern, evidence-based approaches with traditional practices, creating a comprehensive framework that addresses both the structural aspects of the body and the underlying regulatory processes. This allows for a more individualized and sustainable path to health.
Hi, I’m Dr. Katharina Austermann, a nutritionist with a PhD in nutrition and food science from the University of Bonn. Ever since I was a child, two things have always made me happy: food and sleep. And honestly, not much has changed. When my body is truly nourished and well-rested, I feel balanced, energized and almost unstoppable.
My fascination with food and its impact on our well-being led me to study nutrition and continue into research, working on international intervention studies at the University of Bonn. I loved the science and the depth of understanding it offered. But over time, I realized something was missing. Research often felt far removed from real life. I wanted to see how knowledge could truly support people in their everyday experiences. Not just in theory, but in practice.
This realization led me to step beyond academia and into a more integrative path. Alongside my scientific background, I trained as a Yoga teacher and deepened my understanding of traditional healing systems like Ayurveda. Today, I combine evidence-based nutritional science with approaches that support both the body and the underlying regulatory processes, including metabolism, hormones, and the nervous system.
In my work, I focus on women’s metabolic and hormonal health. I support women dealing with challenges such as hormonal imbalance, PCOS, menopause, weight regulation, and fatigue, helping them reconnect with their bodies and better understand their individual physiology. Together, we develop an approach to nutrition and lifestyle that is sustainable, grounded in science, and aligned with their needs. Because in a world full of conflicting nutrition advice and diet trends, I believe the most powerful thing we can do is to re-learn to listen to our inner signals – supported by science, not overridden by it.
My work brings together modern research and traditional knowledge to help you build a healthier relationship with food, your body, and yourself, so you can feel more balanced, energized, and truly at home within.
Namaste, I’m Sandeep Atri, a descendant of the Atri lineage. I grew up in a family where yoga and traditional practices were a natural part of everyday life. My first teacher was my mother, who introduced me to the path of Bhakti Yoga and guided me in practices rooted in devotion, awareness, and a deep connection to the body and breath.
From an early age, I was immersed in the traditional paths of Bhakti, Karma, and Jnana Yoga, which shaped my understanding of yoga as a way of living, not just a practice. These teachings have been passed down through generations in my family and shape how I understand the body, healing, and the role of yoga beyond just physical exercise.
After school, I spent several years working in food and hospitality, exploring different cultures and ways of living. While these experiences broadened my perspective, they also made me realize that I felt most connected when working with the body and supporting others more directly. This led me back to my roots with a clearer sense of purpose.
I went on to complete advanced training and earned a Master’s degree in Yoga and Yoga Therapy, deepening both my practical and theoretical understanding. Today, my work is grounded in traditional yoga practices, including therapeutic movement, Pranayama, and relaxation techniques that have been developed and refined over centuries.
In my work, I aim to create a space where people can reconnect with their body in a more conscious and supportive way. Through traditional practices such as movement, Pranayama, and guided relaxation, I support the body in releasing tension and restoring a more natural sense of balance. This process helps to activate the body’s innate self-healing capacity, allowing it to regulate and recover in a more sustainable way. Over time, this can lead to greater ease in movement, improved resilience, and a deeper sense of connection within.

Yes. Some clients work with both Katharina and Sandeep simultaneously – the nutritional and movement approaches complement each other directly. If a combined approach is appropriate, this will be discussed during the clarity call and structured in a way that best supports your goals. In these cases, both approaches are coordinated so that nutrition, movement, and stress regulation work together in a coherent and integrated way.
