Day 1: Arrival in Rishikesh & Opening Ceremony
  • Arrive in Rishikesh and settle into your accommodation. Take in the peaceful surroundings of the yoga capital.
  • Evening: Opening ceremony at the Ganga Beach—experience a traditional ritual, take a holy dip in the sacred Ganges, and set intentions for the retreat.
  • Sunset Meditation: Connect with the energy of the setting sun, calming your mind and grounding yourself in this sacred land.
Day 2: Yoga, Meditation & Neelkanth Temple Visit
  • Morning: Begin your day with an energizing Yoga and meditation session, awakening body and mind.
  • Excursion: Visit Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, a revered shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, surrounded by lush forests and breathtaking views.
  • Mata Parvati Temple: Explore the spiritual significance of this temple and experience its peaceful ambiance.
  • Evening: A relaxing Yoga and meditation session, helping you unwind and reflect on the day’s experiences.
Day 3: Yoga, Meditation & Beatles Ashram Exploratio
  • Morning: Yoga and meditation to harmonize body, mind, and soul.
  • Excursion: Visit the legendary Beatles Ashram, where the famous band once meditated and wrote music. Absorb the artistic and spiritual energy of this iconic place.
  • Evening: Gentle Yoga and meditation, integrating the day’s inspiration into your practice.
Day 4: Sivananda Ashram, Ganga Beach & Ganga Aarti
  • Morning: Yoga and meditation to deepen your inner journey.
  • Visit to Sivananda Ashram: Learn about one of India’s most respected spiritual centers and its teachings on yoga and Vedanta.
  • Relaxation at Ganga Beach: Spend time connecting with nature, listening to the soothing river sounds, and reflecting on your spiritual journey.
  • Evening: Witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan Ashram, a powerful fire ritual on the riverbanks that fills the air with devotion and spirituality.
Day 5: Devprayag & Vashishta Cave Meditation
  • Morning: Yoga and meditation to prepare for a day of deep spiritual exploration.
  • Excursion to Devprayag: Witness the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers, where the Ganga officially begins.
  • Vashishta Cave: Meditate in this ancient cave, where Sage Vashishta once practiced deep meditation—an experience of profound stillness and serenity.

Day 6: Yoga, Neer Waterfall & Free Time

  • Afternoon: Free time to explore Rishikesh, shop for spiritual souvenirs, or simply relax at a riverside café.

Day 7: Sunrise at Kunjapuri Temple & Trek Back
  • Early Morning: Travel to Kunjapuri Temple, a sacred site offering a breathtaking sunrise view over the Himalayas.
  • Trek Down to Rishikesh: A peaceful nature trek through forests and villages, allowing you to absorb the tranquility of the Himalayas.
  • Evening: Gentle Yoga and meditation session to relax after the trek.
Day 8: Yoga & Thrilling Ganga Rafting

Authentic, humble honest. I did have the best experience here with such safe and comforting teachers. The groups are small the lessons are full with valuable information.

Yoga Philosophy being thought by Sandeep, a native indian who grew up with yoga since he is a child and lives it with his whole heart is such a special, unique and most important authentic and honest experience which is hard to find in any other schools around Bali.

Katharina is also a wonderful devoted teacher and it is nice to see this balance of both it helps to understand.

Anandam yoga school is amazing!!! I learned so much from them. Ankur was an incredible teacher and was very knowledgeable in all aspects of yoga, asanas, pranayama, hatha, vinyasa, etc.

I chose to take my 200h YTT on Bali with Anandam Yoga School as it was of utmost importance to me to learn about the foundations of Yoga from an Indian guide with a deep connection to the practice & its tradition in India, while having local rooting in Bali.

Sandeep, Katharina & Kadek imparted a well of knowledge about Yoga asana practice as well as anatomy, yoga philosophy, the history of yoga, pranayama, meditation, shatkarma (cleansing rituals), equity, cultural appropriation, and much more, for us students (and future teachers) to build on for a lifetime to come, knowing that we'll be able to honour the roots of Yoga in India as most of us return to share our practice in Western societies.

I am also deeply grateful for the care & support that Katharina & Sandeep provided to us throughout the journey, from travel logistics to a broad variety of recommendations (restaurants, clinics, visa agents, etc.) on anything we might need.

I just finished my 300hr yoga teacher training with them. I am their return student as I also did my 200 hour ytt with them.

The experience with them are pleasant. I’ve learnt a lot from them, from asanas, alignments, philosophy, pranayama, and the Hindu tradition. I’ve grown so much after the training, feeling more confident in teaching yoga.

Ashtanga yoga was demanding and it’s great to have mysore style every morning with Sandeep as an instructor. He would challenge you and push you above your limits.

Arm balancing classes are fun and I have developed so much strength compared to when I first started the training.

Both Katharina and Sandeep have beautiful and kind souls. They are always there for you and back you up whenever you need them.

After 500 ++ hours we spent together we have developed a stronger bond as good friends! I would really recommend them if you are looking for yoga teacher training courses!!

FAQs

Do I need prior Yoga experience?

No, this retreat is open to all levels. We’ll offer modifications and guidance to ensure everyone feels comfortable.

Can dietary needs be accommodated?

Yes! We offer plant-based, locally sourced meals and can cater to dietary restrictions with advance notice.

What should I bring?

Please bring comfortable, ideally light cotton clothes for the practice; white clothes for the opening and closing circles; your everyday toiletries; house shoes; some warmer clothes; comfortable shoes to go for a hike; and all you think you need for a wonderful time in Rishikesh.

What is included in the retreat fee?

We offer different retreat packages including accommodation and food. The course fee includes all activities, study materials, all meals and the accommodation option you choose.

How to get to the retreat venue?

Jolly Grant airport at Dehradun is the nearest airport to Rishikesh which is approximately 35 kilometres away. We can organize transport for you from the airport. 

You can also choose to fly to New Delhi airport and come by there from taxi, which takes around 5 hours. We are happy to help you organizing it. 

What is your cancellation policy?

To reserve your spot in the retreat we kindly ask you to deposit €200. This deposit is non-refundable. In case you have to cancel the retreat for any reason, the deposit can be applied to a later retreat or training.
